A leading construction and facilities management company is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join the Birminghamdivision, on a full time, permanent basis. Having been established for over 50 years they are a forward thinking business, with an excellent reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the safe servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and heating systems in both residential and commercial properties
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and necessary fault-finding
- Ensure all work is completed to high safety and efficiency standards, in line with current regulations
- Provide timely response to emergency call-outs and breakdowns
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all work undertaken, including materials used and time spent
- Communicate effectively with clients and tenants, offering clear explanations of work required and future maintenance guidance
- Participate in the on-call rota to ensure responsive cover outside of normal working hours
Requirements
- Current Gas Safe Registration (with valid Gas Safe ID)
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Gas Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances
- Full UK driving licence
- Background in a repairs and maintenance or property services environment
- This full-time role includes participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours breakdown support.
