About the Company

Our client is a well-established groundworks contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-quality infrastructure for volume housing schemes. With a growing portfolio of residential and short-term civils projects across Yorkshire and the North East, they are now seeking anexperienced Groundworks Contract Managerto join their team and take immediate responsibility for live and upcoming projects.

The Role

Youll be stepping into a key leadership position, managing multiple live sites we are seeking aproven Contract Managerwho can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day site operations across multiple schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Enforce high-level Health & Safety standards and implement new safety initiatives across all projects.
  • Coordinate with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to maintain smooth communication and project delivery.
  • Work with technical documentation, programming tools (MS Project), and software including Excel and Word to maintain high standards in project reporting and management.
  • Regular travel to sites

What Were Looking For

  • Current experience as a Groundworks Contract Manager(essential)
  • Strong background in:
    • Roads, Sewers, Earthworks, and Plotworks
    • Bulk Earthworks, Remediation, Drainage, Hard Landscaping, and Surfacing
  • Excellent IT and programming system skills (MS Project proficiency essential).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills a natural team-builder who can both deliver and inspire.
  • Proven track record in residential groundworks (volume housing essential).
  • Personable approach with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
