Role Overview:

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional, multi-vendor testing team through various testing phases, including SIT, UAT, NFT, and regression testing, while balancing multiple priorities and reporting progress to senior stakeholders, both internal and external. Act as the primary representative for the testing effort.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Asset Managers, applying expertise and experience in Investment Management to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive end-to-end test strategies, covering integration testing, user acceptance testing, non-functional testing, and regression testing.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders through various reporting formats, such as end-of-day reports, internal working group decks, joint working group meetings, and steering committee sessions.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and manage risks, offering practical mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure accountability for builds and defects, and challenge requirements where needed to maintain quality.
  • Advise on testing tools and ensure their effective use throughout the project.
  • Tackle complex testing environments by applying a risk-based approach, ensuring testing solutions align with programme timelines.
  • Oversee and continually improve the defect management process to ensure efficiency and thorough resolution.
  • Stay informed about automation testing techniques and explore opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
  • Take responsibility for aspects of project budgets, client deliverables, and invoicing.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Investment Management and Asset Servicing, including understanding asset classes, investment processes, and portfolio management, either through direct industry experience or programme delivery.
  • Proven experience leading testing efforts on large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, including presentation, business writing, and professional interaction.
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication, ensuring smooth collaboration and clarity across all parties.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a drive to overcome challenges and complete testing objectives on time.

Desirable Experience:

  • A successful track record at a leading consultancy.
  • Familiarity with Investment Management/Asset Management platforms, such as CRD, BlackRock Aladdin, SimCorp, Thinkfolio, and similar systems.
