The post holder will be a qualified Health Visitor. You will work autonomously as part of the Integrated Early Years Service (Health Visiting & Family Support), managing a designated caseload of children and families to improve their health and enable them to reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with other agencies to provide high quality care to children and families. Child protection work will involve gathering and analysing information to make informed assessments, making appropriate referrals and participating in case conferences and core group meetings. You will support public health initiatives in line with local and national priorities which promote, protect and improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities.
Our Health Visiting service in Camden is part of a well-developed partnership with the London Borough of Camden Early Years Service, and we are presently implementing a new universal pathway for all families in the first 1001 days. Camden is one of the early implementers of Family Hubs, which brings additional funding for services for families in the first 1001 days (conception to 2 yrs) and encourages services for families with children of all ages to be brought together as part of a Family Hub network.

Responsibilities
- You will contribute to the provision of safe and reliable services as part of a supportive team with access to NHS benefits including discounts, pensions and opportunities for learning and development.
- Use clinical judgement and risk assessment to keep service users safe.
- Safeguard individuals by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse, recognising limits, and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Escalate safety concerns and act as an advocate for those who use our services.
- Be open and transparent about your practice.
- Supervise the work of others where required.
- Reflect on everyday practice to identify areas for improvement in safety or quality, and work with others to create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate, legible, comprehensive records and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
