We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to support our discharge pathway project for an initial period of 2 months. The service has secured funding until April 2026 to trial the discharge pathway project, which aims to enable more timely and safer discharge of low-risk patients with tailored social prescribing.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with patients for social prescribing
  • Complete final routine outcome measures
  • Write discharge letters
  • Assess risk before discharge from community CAMHS with the support of the MDT

About the service:

Kensington and Chelsea CAMHS is a well established multidisciplinary team. We aim to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for patients and professionals working with children in the area. We use a diverse range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, systemic and family therapies, psychotherapy, psychoeducation and therapy groups and multi-family work. Kensington and Chelsea CAMHS consists of five main sub-teams: Emotional Disorders Team; Neurodevelopmental Team; Enhanced Treatment Team; Duty team; and under 5s Team.

Contract:

This is a fixed term position designed to support our discharge pathway project. The main duties will include meeting with patients for social prescribing, completing final routine outcome measures, writing discharge letters, and assessing risk before discharge from community CAMHS with the support of the MDT.
