Person Specification

  • Essential Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months.
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months.
  • Excellent clinical skills, bio‑psycho‑social perspective, oral and written communication in English.
  • Desirable Qualifications
    • Higher degree or qualification in medical education, clinical research or management.
    • Additional clinical qualifications.
    • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
    • Experience in Quality Improvement, management, membership of committee or regulatory body, CQC preparedness, contract/procurement knowledge.
    • Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement (awards, presentations, publications).
