We are looking for someone to support hands‑on delivery in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering at our Nantgarw Campus, preparing equipment, maintaining industry‑standard workshops, and working alongside lecturers to create a safe, engaging environment where learners build practical skills and confidence for engineering careers.
As a Technician within the School of Engineering, you will provide high‑quality technical support to teaching and assessment staff, contributing to the delivery of practical learning across Mechanical and Aerospace engineering. You will also support activity within the Mechanical workshops and may be required to work flexibly across campuses to support colleagues, learners, and resources across the wider School and College.

Location and Working Patterns
Roles at Coleg y Cymoedd are campus based to support teaching, learner experience and service delivery. Postholders may request flexible working, including limited remote working, through the College’s Flexible Working Process (a statutory day‑one right). Requests are considered individually based on role needs and service coverage. Candidates or employees with accessibility or reasonable adjustment needs are encouraged to discuss these with the People & Culture team.
