As a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, the Executive Curriculum Director holds strategic leadership for a designated portfolio of schools and is a strategic lead for income diversification, work placements, employer engagement and competitive bid development within the portfolio's scope. The post holder is directly accountable for learner outcomes, curriculum quality and operational performance across their portfolio schools.

As strategic lead for income diversification and employer engagement within their portfolio, they drive income growth and diversification, lead the development of competitive bids and tenders, oversee work placement provision and build strategic relationships with employers, funders and commissioning bodies. This work operationalises the strategic ownership held by the reporting Vice Principal.

The post holder is a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, College Management Team and Academic Board, attending Corporation Board committees as appropriate. All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment.

This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. For roles that involve direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also a mandatory requirement.
