This is an exciting role designed to support the on-going delivery and assessments of NVQ’s in the workplace and apprenticeship programmes across the faculty.
You will provide support by ensuring that the quality of programmes meets the required standards both internally and externally to provide the very best experience and service to our learners. The post holder must demonstrate initiative, good organisational skills and sound time management skills. The post holder will be expected to work to an agreed caseload and as such will be asked to work extensively off site to meet the demands of the role. The exact caseload number will be agreed with the Faculty Management Team and Senior IQA and will vary according to geographic distribution of apprentices and travel involved but will be in the range of between 45 and 50 learners.
Key Responsibilities- To plan, monitor and evaluate learner’s progress against their framework
- To liaise with employers and learners on learner’s progress
- To assist in the management of specified training in the workplace and/or college and monitor the delivery of the apprenticeship programme
- To liaise with managers, teachers, assessors and learners to ensure effective completion and achievement
- Conduct on site and in college assessment of learners in your specialised vocation
- To work with an allocated case load of up to a minimum of 45 learners or apprentices
Welsh Language Requirements:
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 2 Essential
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2 Essential
Essential Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3-5 or higher
- 3 years relevant industrial experience within vocational area
- Assessor Awards
- GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent
- Competence in the use of a range of IT Systems and packages, including Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Bespoke packages and cloud-based applications
- Good communicator with diplomacy and tact
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Good presentational skills
- A current driving licence & own transport

- Evidence of CPD that demonstrates engagement in activities to maintain up to date knowledge and skills of industry practices, products and equipment
