Hourly Paid Additional Support Assistant (Independent Living Skills) x 2
Job description
Minimum of 18.5 hours per week
Fixed Term β 30/06/26
Must be available 9am β 4.30 pm
We wish to appoint inspiring Additional Support Assistants to help learners with additional learning needs to access the curriculum at Coleg Gwent.
Applicants should have previous experience of working with young people who have difficulties and/or disabilities and be educated to Level 2 standard with four GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
The successful candidates will be required to support learners on a 1:1 basis, including providing personal care when needed, as well as work with learners on a group basis, working closely with the curriculum and campus support teams to ensure the learners meet their full potential.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
The College is committed to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people. Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with the Education Workforce Council if appropriate.
