Are you passionate about the hair and beauty industry and keen to support the next generation of professionals? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hair and Beauty Technician to join our dynamic and thriving Hair and Beauty department at Coleg Gwent, City of Newport Campus.

As a technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical sessions. Working closely with lecturers and students, you will ensure our salons and training areas are well-resourced, maintained to a professional standard, and ready for learning. You’ll assist in preparing materials, setting up equipment, and providing technical support during classes, assessments, and client sessions. You will also take a leading role in the management of our client booking system, to support the salons\’ operation.

The ability to use the Welsh language at basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable

Lecturing posts will require a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or the willingness to attain one with a specified period of time. This will be a requirement under your contract of employment and EWC registration.
