Hourly Paid GCSE English Oracy Assessors

Salary: Β£19.24 – Β£21.37 per hour

Locations: Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone, City of Newport Campus, Torfaen Learning Zone/Usk Campus, Crosskeys Campus

Fixed Term to 05/06/26, with a minimum of 4 hours per year

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, record, assess, and monitor Unit 1 Oracy for GCSE English Language.
  • Support and collaborate with the cross-college English Team responsible for planning and delivering GCSE English.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an A Level in English Language at grade C or above.
  • A good honours degree in English Language or a related subject.
  • PGCE/Cert. Ed. or relevant teaching qualification is desirable.

Additional Information:

  • Applications can be submitted in Welsh or English; no preference will be given based on language.
  • Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS and registration with the Education Workforce Council if appropriate.
  • Applicants are responsible for the cost of the Enhanced Disclosure and registration.
