We are recruiting for two Assistant House Managers. 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (8.30am – 4.30pm) 48.2 weeks
Purpose of the role: To assist the House Manager in ensuring the organisation meets high standards of education, training, and care within its ideals and principles, as well as meeting the expectations and guidelines of the placing authorities and inspectorates.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure all service users' care and welfare needs are met according to care plans and protocols, and that staff work within these plans.
- Support the House Manager in compiling, implementing, and reviewing Care Plans, Risk Assessments, Behaviour Support Plans, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with key agencies and stakeholders to ensure transparency and that service users' needs are met.
- Order and administer medication within the home, including monthly audits, as directed by the House Manager.
- Facilitate residential meetings to address issues and inform the House Manager.
- Promote safeguarding practices as outlined in organisational policies and report any concerns.
- Participate in annual reviews regarding service users' care.
- Carry out personal care tasks respecting privacy, dignity, and value of service users.
- Provide high standards of care, including support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aligned with person-centred plans.
- Undertake line management responsibilities for Support Workers, Volunteers, and Cooks as directed.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and report hazards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for quality inspections.
- Support positive outcomes for service users and promote equality and diversity in care.
- Attend Parents' Weekends and represent the organisation at events.
- Assist in staff rota management, covering shifts as needed.
House Management Team:
- Participate in regular house meetings.
- Report progress, achievements, and challenges to the House Manager.
- Review and update documentation related to service users and daily care management.
General responsibilities:
- Adhere to organisational policies and guidelines.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity.
