Job Summary

We currently have a vacancy for a Work-based Learning Practitioner in the Land Based Team.
Responsibilities
- Assess Levels 2-4 for the full range of qualifications in Horticulture, Trees & Timber and Environmental Conservation in line with awarding organisation requirements linked to skills and competence.
- Conduct training needs analysis for learners, enrol learners on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as delivery of underpinning knowledge sessions to learners either on a 1-1 or workshop basis (recommended maximum group size 8).
- Monitor learners' progress towards qualifications, give constructive feedback and guide them to prepare an e-portfolio of evidence.
- Assess learner portfolios and present completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.
Essential Requirements
- A professionally relevant qualification at a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent.
- Possess or work towards an assessor's qualification (TAQA).
- Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above.
- Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education.
- Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
