At Coleg Cambria, we are looking for a Lecturer in Agriculture to join our Landbased team at Llysfasi.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and inspire learners in various agricultural subjects, including livestock husbandry, business, pollution control, and farm diversification.
- Prepare learning materials, mark students' work, and liaise with awarding bodies for exam invigilation.
- Provide guidance and support to students, and participate in marketing, planning, assessment, and evaluation of the courses on offer.
- Work with other tutors on resources and curriculum development, focusing on quality standards and understanding various learning needs.
- Involved in writing student reports.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified to at least Level 5 in Agriculture or a relevant subject.
- Ideally, a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE, Cert Ed, or C&G 7407, or willing to work towards one.
- Ability to develop and use diverse teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being a strong team player with enthusiasm in the learning environment.
- Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.
Welsh Language Skills:
Welsh Language skills are an essential requirement for this role. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 3 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency. Coleg Cambria are committed to supporting this development through a tailored professional development plan.
