Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional spa treatments to clients.
- Mentor students in a real‑world spa environment, providing guidance and feedback to help develop employability skills.
- Manage client appointments and maintain booking schedule.
- Support departmental promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest spa products and treatment techniques.
- Collaborate with curriculum educators and spa staff to ensure cohesive learning experiences.
- Work with community groups to develop workshops and networking sessions.
- Assist in maintaining spa supplies and achieving retail and rebooking targets set by the Commercial Hair & Beauty Manager.
- Level 4 Diploma or equivalent in Spa Therapy (or Level 3 working towards Level 4).
- Previous experience of facilitation or mentoring within a spa or wellness context.
- Extensive experience of working in the hair and beauty industry.
- Understanding of equity and inclusivity challenges in the hair & beauty industry.
- Welsh language skills desirable for this post.
Professional Development and Registration: Successful candidates may need to register with the Education Workforce Council. Training in Welsh language plans and incentive payments for bilingual delivery are provided.
Regulatory Requirements: This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order and is classed as regulated activity. It requires an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check, and applicants must disclose all cautions and convictions, including spent ones. A risk assessment will be carried out to determine suitability to work with children.
