Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled teaching, preparing learning materials, marking students' work and liaising with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required.
- Provide valuable educational guidance, support and counselling for students and act as a personal tutor when required.
- Complete and produce agreed deadlines documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course reviews, course analysis documentation, student reports, absence reports and course files.
- Deliver City and Guilds Performing Engineering Operations Level 1 up to Level 3 and City and Guilds Technical Certificate Level 1 up to Level 3.
Qualifications
- Qualified to at least Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Must be a qualified teacher (PGCE, Cert Ed etc.) or willing to gain this within 2 years of appointment.
- Awareness of the quality standards within teaching.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and keep up to date.
- Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and support within a learning environment.
- Able to analyse and use key information to inform teaching and learning.
- Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post.
