Salary: £33,596 - £51,932. Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within electrical installation and hold a level 3 as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate empathy and understanding of a range of learning difficulties/disabilities as well as resilience, flexibility, patience and a sense of humour.
As a Lecturer, you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom-based learning to our students. You will ideally have previous experience of supporting learners with additional learning needs in the classroom or significant relevant personal experience. You will demonstrate the ability to build good working relationships with learners and staff and manage groups of learners while maintaining a positive approach to challenging behaviours.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter.
- A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, well organised and able to work independently using own initiative.
- Possess or be working towards Verifier award.
- Possess or be working towards Assessor award.
- Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.

This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order and is classed as regulated activity. It requires an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check and disclosure of all cautions and convictions, including spent ones. A risk assessment will be carried out; some convictions may be deemed unsuitable for working with children. Depending on the position, successful candidates may also need to register with the Education Workforce Council.
