Contract Type: Permanent, full time
Salary: £33,912 – £38,218.
We currently have a vacancy for a Work Based Learning Practitioner in Leadership & Management within Business Services.
Key Responsibilities
The practitioner will assess Level 2, 3, 4 and 5 Leadership & Management in line with awarding organisation requirements, work with a caseload of learners, conduct training needs analysis, enrol learners on appropriate courses, provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities, deliver underpinning knowledge sessions (1‑to‑1 or workshops – recommended maximum group size 8), monitor learners’ progress, give constructive feedback, guide the preparation of e‑portfolios, assess learner portfolios and present completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.
Essential Requirements
Professionally relevant qualification at a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent.
Assessors qualification (TAQA).
Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above.
Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area.
Experience of liaising and partnering with external managers in industry.
A commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education.
Welsh Language
Welsh skills are essential for this specific post. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of Level 2 Welsh language skills and be willing to upskill to Level 3 through a tailored professional development plan provided by the college.
Additional Information
This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order and is classed as regulated activity. It therefore requires an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check. Successful candidates may also need to register with the Education Workforce Council.
