- Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
- Salary: £33,596 - £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Training Officer in Aerospace for full-time apprentices at our Deeside site. The main purpose of the role is to deliver practical sessions in our training workshops, which will include:
- Carrying out aircraft detailed fitting activities
- Installing mechanical fasteners (Rivets, bolts, and locking methods)
- Drilling of light skin and heavy skin materials
- Basic aircraft maintenance and component removal/re-fit
In this role, you will also perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students' work, liaise with awarding bodies, and invigilate exams. A significant part of working with learners involves providing educational guidance, support, and coaching to positively impact their student journey.
We would particularly love to hear from anyone with Aircraft Electrical and Systems experience looking to transition from industry to a new career challenge.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant specialist subject area, ideally level 4.
- Ability to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques.
- Ability to assess the outcomes of learning and learner achievements.
Please be aware that due to College closure over Christmas, applications will be reviewed the week commencing the 5th January 2026.
