Location: Yale
Contract: Full time, Fixed term – 13/04/2026 to 12/04/2027 (37 hours per week, job share possible)
Salary: £33,596 – £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
Job Summary
Deliver across our range of English, Maths and Digital Skills provision from our Wrexham campus. The successful candidate will have experience delivering the Essential Skills Wales (ESW) suite of qualifications – Essential Communication Skills, Essential Application of Number Skills and Essential Digital Literacy Skills. Applications are also welcome from lecturers experienced in delivering Functional Skills.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed/PGCE) or working towards Level 5
- Minimum Level 4 qualification
- Knowledge of broad range of learning needs and how to support within learning environment
- Proven experience and competence in English and maths lecturing
- Awareness of importance of quality standards within teaching
- Recognises and makes students aware of their strengths and development needs
- Experience dealing with learners exhibiting challenging behaviours
- Commitment to safeguarding and awareness of importance of Safeguarding
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable. Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Submission in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than English.
