Foundation Lecturer – Beauty at Coleg Cambria, Deeside.
Contract & Salary
Fixed term: 03/08/2026 – 30/07/2027. Part time: 70%. Salary: £33,596 – £51,932 (pro‑rated).
Responsibilities
- Teach Level 1 Beauty and Hair and generic units across Foundation Learning programmes.
- Prepare teaching materials, assess student work and conduct exam invigilation.
- Enrol students, coach, mentor and provide learning opportunities.
- Ensure safety and welfare of learners.
Qualifications
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 sector‑specific qualification.
- Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed/PGCE) or currently in progress.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current developments in the specialist area and ways to keep updated.
- Knowledge of diverse learning needs and inclusive support.
- Ability to manage inappropriate classroom behaviour promptly and effectively.
- Aware of quality standards in teaching.
Desirable Skills
- Welsh language skills.
