Role Title: Lecturer in Music & Sound Production

Location: Deeside

Contract Type: Full Time (37 hours per week) , Permanent

Salary: £33,596 - £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)

Your Impact in the Role

• Inspire & Educate: Deliver dynamic teaching sessions, design engaging learning materials, and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Guide & Support: Act as a personal tutor, offering individual guidance and pastoral support to help learners reach their goals.
• Shape the Department: Participate in course planning, student recruitment, interviewing, and college marketing events.
• Maintain High Standards: Manage administrative responsibilities effectively, including schemes of work, attendance registers, and course reviews.
• Build Connections: Collaborate with cross-departmental tutors, awarding bodies, and local employers.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
• Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification in relevant subject area
• Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.
• Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
• Current, up-to-date knowledge of developments in the music sector.

Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
