Job Summary

Coleg Cambria is seeking a passionate and skilled Instructor Demonstrator in Advanced Engineering to join our team at the Deeside site. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering practical instruction and demonstrations to student groups, ensuring they develop essential skills and knowledge in a range of Engineering topics (i.e. Electronics, Maintenance, Bench Fitting etc). You will work closely with course coordinators and lecturers to create a structured schedule of activities and support students in achieving their learning goals. Monitoring student progress, assessing their competence in practical tasks, and maintaining accurate records will be key responsibilities. As part of our commitment to student success, you will assist with student reviews, help produce course results, and contribute to creating a caring and supportive learning environment. Maintaining professionalism, ensuring student discipline, and promoting attendance and punctuality are vital aspects of the role. Additionally, you will actively participate in staff development activities and continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The successful candidate will uphold College policies on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Quality, supporting the overall mission of the College. You will be a proactive team player, ready to take on any additional duties assigned by your Line Manager to contribute to the smooth operation of the department.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments.
  • Recent industrial experience in the relevant specialist area.
  • Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
