Salary: £26,980 – £31,245 per annum.
Our Foundation learning department at Bersham Road, Wrexham, is seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Instructor Demonstrator. Within our modern workspace equipped with industry-standard tools, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive practical sessions, planning activities collaboratively with the course team, ensuring student skill development, and managing key administrative tasks such as record‑keeping and student evaluations. This includes delivering and demonstrating basic practical skills across various construction trades, including carpentry and joinery, plastering, brickwork, and fundamental electrical and plumbing skills. Adherence to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Quality guidelines is essential. All candidates must possess an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check. Registration with the Education Workforce Council may be required depending on the position.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject area.
- Commercial and domestic experience in construction.
- Understanding of current developments within specialist areas and the ability to keep up to date.
- Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.
- Good level of IT competence, navigation of the Internet and intranets, and willingness to learn new IT packages and systems.
- Ability to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom.
- Confidence delivering high‑quality, effective practical sessions that enhance learning.
Welsh Language
