Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Instructor Demonstrator in Advanced Engineering to join our team at the Deeside site. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering practical instruction and demonstrations to student groups, ensuring they develop essential skills and knowledge in a range of Engineering topics (i.e. Electronics, Maintenance, Bench Fitting etc.). You will work closely with course coordinators and lecturers to create a structured schedule of activities and support students in achieving their learning goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring student progress and assessing their competence in practical tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with student reviews and producing course results
  • Creating a caring and supportive learning environment
  • Maintaining professionalism and ensuring student discipline
  • Promoting attendance and punctuality
  • Participating in staff development activities
  • Seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth

The successful candidate will uphold College policies on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Quality, supporting the overall mission of the College. You will be a proactive team player, ready to take on any additional duties assigned by your Line Manager.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area
  • Recent industrial experience in the relevant specialist area
  • Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post
