We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Hair & Beauty Technician at our Yale site. The main responsibilities include providing technical support for hair and beauty learning activities across curriculum workshops, commercial salons, and off-site venues. Technicians are responsible for ensuring learning materials, tools, and equipment are sufficient for these activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining learning materials, tools, and equipment.
- Keeping workshop areas tidy.
- Ensuring a safe environment.
- Assisting with installation, maintenance, and servicing of equipment.
- Managing stock records using centralised software.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
Essential Requirements:
- Prepare and maintain learning materials, work pieces, tools, and equipment for practical learning environments.
- Keep workshop areas and storerooms tidy, especially tools and equipment.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment for students and visitors.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of workshop machinery and equipment.
- Control, order, and maintain records of stock and resources using the software database.
