Coleago is looking to collaborate with an independent telecoms legal specialist with to support an upcoming project in Africa within the telecoms sector.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience working with regulators, governments, and C-suite executives to address complex legal and regulatory challenges in the industry. They should have deep expertise in regulatory frameworks, telecoms law, licensing, and PPP projects.
Mandatory requirements are as follows:
β A master\'s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Telecommunication Law, IT Law or regulatory policy.
β Strong understanding of telecommunications sector (both public and private, institutional development, and digital transformation in the context of emerging markets.
β At least 10 years\' experience of which at least 7 must have been spent on drafting/reviewing PPP contracts and providing legal input to detailed feasibility studies and transaction advisory services. Credentials and client reference coordinates must be supplied for cited experience.
β The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in at least 5 PPP assignments. Credentials and client reference coordinates must be supplied for cited experience.
β Experience in developing countries especially Africa is an added advantage.
β Should have good communication, written, presenting and analytic skills.
