Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation of surfacing (playgrounds, parks, play areas and other outdoor sites) across the UK.
  • Lead and work alongside a small team, supporting, training and developing team members to improve surfacing preparation, mixing, installation knowledge.
  • Mark out and lay safety surfacing mixes, including wetpour, resin bound, shock pad, artificial grass and grass mats.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time and to set specification and quality standards.
  • Collect materials from the depot, unload, store and take receipt on site.
  • Manage the company van, tools, plant and equipment assigned to the role.
  • Ensure safe transit of materials/vehicles on site.
  • Maintain daily site housekeeping and record keeping, keeping the workplace tidy and clearing waste.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience installing resin bound or wetpour surfacing solutions.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Good knowledge of surfacing materials and correct installation processes; full initial training provided.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Reliable, hardworking, punctual with good communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience with groundworks to prepare or assess ground for surfacing installation.
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse or at the depot when weather precludes installation.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away as required.
  • Open to both directly employed and self‑employed team leader arrangements.
