Cole & Yates Recruitment Ltd is seeking a West Midlands, Staffordshire, Warwickshire or Worcestershire based self-employed Surfacing Installation Team on behalf of a leading surfacing company that offers a range of surface solutions for play, sports and recreation. This includes resin bound, wetpour, shock pad and artificial grass to a wide customer base covering Education, Local Authority, New Build Developer, Trade & Contractor.
The Surfacing Installation Team lead will be responsible for:
- Installation of surfacing (playgrounds, parks, play areas and other outdoor sites) across the UK.
- Marking out and laying a mix of safety surfacing including wetpour, resin bound, shock pad, artificial grass and grass mats.
- Ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to set specification and quality standards.
- Collecting materials from the depot and/or taking receipt of materials on site, including unloading and storing.
- Responsible for the company van allocated along with all company tools, plant and equipment assigned.
- Ensuring the safe transit of materials/vehicles on site.
- Daily site housekeeping and record keeping, maintaining a tidy workplace and clearing waste from the site.
To be considered as a Surfacing Installation Team member, you will need:
- To be an existing surfacing team used to working, travelling and staying away together.
- Previous experience of installing resin bound or wetpour surfacing solutions.
- A good knowledge of different surfacing materials and the correct installation process.
- A CSCS Card.
- Enhanced DBS.
- To be reliable, hardworking, punctual and possess good communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Groundworks experience to prepare the ground ahead of installing the surfacing.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away as needed.
In return, the company is offering:
- A Team Day rate of £550.00 to £680.00 based on team experience level.
- A company van and fuel card.
- Hotel accommodation or Airbnb for longer stays.
- A daily subsistence allowance when staying away.
- The opportunity to subcontract for a well-established and growing company within the sector.
