Job Description

We are recruiting for anexperienced Estimator on behalf of a company that specialises in city centreconstruction projects that range from soft and hard landscaping (including S278works) through to specialist installations including irrigation systems, water featuresand bespoke landscaping solutions for ground floors, podiums and roof terraces.

On offer is a salary of up to£65,000.00 per year which is negotiable based on experience / current package, a choice of office based or hybridworking and the opportunity to join an award winning external works contractorwho provide cost advice, tender submissions and design development from RIBAstage 3 onwards to meet their clients’ needs and oversee every stage to ensure eachproject is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards.

The Estimator will bepreparing and submitting tenders ranging in value from £500,000 to over£10,000,000 which will include:

• Measuring PDF drawings.
• Producing tender documents forpricing purposes that reflect clients’ requirements and match specifications.
• Producing detailed bills ofquantities.
• Identifying areas of risk duringthe tender process and presenting them to senior management.
• Attending site visits and tendermeetings.
• Developing and nurturing strongand professional relationships with existing and new clients including liaisingwith them for updates on bid submissions.

To be considered as theEstimator you will need:

• Previous estimating experiencerelating to landscaping, civils, groundworks or construction.
• Previous experience of preparingand submitting tenders.
• To have used take off andestimating software packages and of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.,)
• Strong attention to detail skillsand to take a meticulous approach to your work.
• To be driven, motivated and experiencedat managing estimating workload.
