We are recruiting for a Home Carer / Home Care Assistant on behalf of a high-quality local home care provider who support a number of elderly clients living in Ledbury and the surrounding towns and villages to live an independent life in the comfort of their own homes by providing their care needs .

Duties of a Home Carer / Home Care Assistant will include:

  • Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day.
  • Personal care.
  • Administering medication.
  • Assisting Clients with washing and dressing.
  • Shopping.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Meal preparation.
  • Taking Clients for appointments or outings.

Requirements

To be considered as a Home Carer / Home Care Assistant you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or from working within the NHS for over one year.
  • A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
  • Have a genuine passion to want to help others.
  • Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude.
  • To be living within a 10 mile radius of Ledbury.

Benefits

On offer for the successful Home Carer / Home Care Assistant is:

  • A permanent part-time or full-time job (working hours of between 16 and 35 hours are available). Flexible working to fit around current commitments and/or children too.
  • Set hourly rates Monday to Friday until 5pm of £13.00, Weekdays after 6pm this rises to £13.50 and at Weekends the hourly rate rises again to £14.50.
  • Paid mileage – 45p per mile and paid travel time.
  • Double pay for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
  • Blue light card.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Full, paid in-house training provided.
  • All training and office meetings paid.
  • Opportunity to complete NVQ level 2,3 & 4 in Health and Social care.
