Job title: Wetpour Installation Team Leader Location: South of Solihull, West Midlands Salary: From £40,000, with £42,000 to £48,000+ available for someone bringing strong groundworks and team leadership experience. Job type: Permanent, PAYE We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist in play and sports surfacing who are offering a genuine long-term opportunity to join a practical, experienced team delivering high-quality outdoor projects across the UK. If you are an experienced wetpour installer who enjoys leading from the front, taking pride in the finish and helping a small team deliver work properly, this could be a very good next step. You may currently be working as a Wetpour Team Leader, Lead Wetpour Installer, Lead Screeder, Surfacing Installation Team Leader, Surfacing Team Leader, Playground Installation Team Leader or Surfacing Foreman. What you will be doing * Lead and work alongside a small installation team on projects across the UK. * Set out work and check levels, depths, bases, edges and drainage before installation begins, using a digger or dumper where required. * Mix, pour, screed and hand-trowel SBR and EPDM wetpour systems. * Take responsibility for joins, wearing courses, coloured sections, patterns and marked-out areas. * Keep projects organised, safe, on programme and finished to a high standard. * Support and develop other team members and communicate professionally on site. What we are looking for * Proven hands-on wetpour or rubber safety-surfacing installation experience. * Strong screeding, trowelling, levelling and finishing ability. * Experience leading a small team and taking responsibility for quality and site delivery. * A full UK driving licence, current CSCS card and relevant current digger and dumper tickets, together with practical experience operating the equipment. * Willingness to travel countrywide and stay away when projects require it. Experience that would be useful * Groundworks, drainage, base preparation, civils or landscaping experience, including confident use of diggers and dumpers. * MUGA, playground, sports surfacing, resin-bound or artificial-grass experience. What is on offer * Company van and fuel card. * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. * Paid hotel accommodation and a daily subsistence allowance when staying away. * For longer stays, Airbnb or similar self-contained accommodation may be arranged, giving you a kitchen, living room and bedroom rather than relying only on a hotel room. This role is based from premises south of Solihull. You will need to be able to travel to the wider Solihull area for team, vehicle and warehouse requirements. The exact location will be shared with suitable candidates during the recruitment process. From there, the team works on projects across the UK, so regular travel and overnight stays form an important part of the role. Because the work includes school sites, any job offer will be subject to the appropriate Enhanced DBS check. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates, and reasonable adjustments will be considered throughout the recruitment process. If this sounds like the kind of work and team you would enjoy, please apply with an up-to-date CV showing your relevant experience and we will contact suitable candidates for a confidential conversation
