A growing technology-led organisation is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join its Bristol-based product team and work closely with colleagues across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.
This is a broad and relationship-led product marketing role for someone who can learn how a range of connected products and services work, understand what matters to customers and turn that knowledge into clear positioning, value propositions, messaging, market insight, technical content and useful sales-enablement materials.
You do not need to arrive as the deepest technical expert.
Training and support will be provided to build detailed product and sector knowledge.
What matters is that you are a strong communicator, interested in technology, able to learn quickly and comfortable building trusted working relationships across different teams and locations.
- What you will be doing
- Building a strong understanding of the organisation’s products, services, customers and market.
- Carrying out structured customer, competitor and market research.
- Creating and improving product positioning, value propositions, personas, use cases and messaging.
- Turning complex product and technical information into clear, useful content for different audiences.
- Producing sales-enablement materials such as pitch decks, one-pagers, FAQs and product documentation.
- Supporting product launches with clear audience definition, positioning, proof points and competitor context.
- Monitoring market, regulatory and sector developments and identifying their implications.
- Working across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to improve communication and commercial understanding.
- Identifying useful customer stories, case studies, campaign themes and market opportunities.
- What we are looking for
- Experience in product marketing, technical marketing, proposition, go-to-market, product communications, sales enablement, market insight or a broader marketing role with strong product-led evidence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of building effective relationships across different teams and influencing without formal authority.
- An interest in technology and the ability to learn unfamiliar products and markets quickly.
- Experience of research, positioning, value propositions, messaging, product launches or technical and commercial content.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the confidence to bring structure to broad or initially ambiguous work.
- Experience within technology, Saa S, Io T, connected products, energy, Prop Tech, regulatory intelligence, compliance technology, professional information services or another complex or regulated environment would be useful but is not essential.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to other company locations, industry events and customer or installation sites.
- Salary and level
The salary range is £40,000 to £50,000 and the level of experience expected will reflect where you sit within that range.
Candidates towards the lower end may come from a broader marketing background and be developing into product marketing.
Candidates towards the top end are likely to bring stronger direct product-marketing experience, more relevant product or sector knowledge and the ability to contribute with less initial support.
Benefits
- 33 days’ holiday including bank holidays.
- Enhanced parental leave.
- Discretionary company-wide bonus.
- Perkbox benefits.
- Three days’ volunteering/CSR.
- Working pattern and travel
Normal working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm.
The role is based in the Bristol office and offers hybrid working from the start, with a minimum of three days in the office each week.
Occasional business travel will be required and associated business travel expenses will be paid.
