Position Overview
Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager, Territory Manager, or Business Development Manager looking to step into a market-leading business? We are seeking an ambitious sales professional to drive B2B sales growth and foster long-term partnerships across the South of England. Representing an industry-leading brand, you will take a consultative sales approach to deliver high-quality surfacing solutions. You will work closely with commercial contractors, local authorities, sports clubs, and within the play sector. Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
- Drive Regional Sales Growth: Manage high-value existing accounts and hunt for new business development opportunities by executing a strategic territory management plan.
- Support Subcontractor Networks: Partner closely with our network of Surfacing Contractors, supporting their commercial activities while selectively expanding the network to meet demand.
- Consultative Selling: Act as the trusted technical expert for Main Contractors, Subcontractors, Local Authorities, Play Equipment Companies, Architects, and Specifiers.
- Pipeline & Project Management: Identify, track, and pursue upcoming commercial construction projects to secure high-value quotation and tender opportunities.
- CRM & Market Intelligence: Maintain accurate data on the CRM system, attend industry networking events, and track competitor activity to maximise market share.
Candidate Requirements (What You Bring)
- Proven Sales Experience: Successful track record in field sales, solution selling, technical sales, or specification sales.
- Industry Background: Experience within construction sales, building materials, outdoor play, landscaping, or surfacing is highly desirable.
- Trade Sector Knowledge: We also highly welcome applicants from builders merchants, trade counters, tool hire, or construction supply environments.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong relationship building, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals with decision-makers.
