HR Officer - Employee Relations

South West London / Surrey Border

Β£22 per hour | 36 hours per week

Initial 3-month temporary assignment | Immediate start

We are recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a large, multi-site education organisation on an initial 3-month temporary assignment.

This is a hands-on HR role with a strong focus on Employee Relations and case management. Working closely with Managers across the organisation, you will provide practical HR advice and support across a range of live employee relations matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting a varied caseload of Employee Relations matters
  • Advising Managers on performance and capability issues
  • Supporting absence management cases
  • Managing disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Providing clear and practical advice in line with HR policies and employment legislation
  • Supporting Managers to ensure cases are progressed appropriately and within agreed timescales
  • Maintaining accurate case records and HR documentation
  • Supporting the wider HR team as required

About you:

You will be an experienced HR professional who is confident managing Employee Relations cases and advising Managers at all levels.

You will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
  • Strong hands-on Employee Relations and case management experience
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple live cases and competing priorities
  • Previous experience within education, the public sector or a large multi-site organisation would be advantageous

You will need to be available immediately or at very short notice and able to commit to the initial 3-month assignment.
