Klondike Cold Storage is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Afternoon Freezer Worker to join our team. The Freezer Worker will be responsible for efficiently organizing and prioritizing goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks performed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including repetitive lifting.
  • Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.

Requirements

  • Safely pick and stage orders, ensuring that all goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Properly place/withdraw product in freezer following procedures to maximize space and reduce damage.
  • Utilize reach trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to move and transport goods within the warehouse or loading dock area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the freezer area, including sweeping, organizing, and disposing of debris and waste materials.
  • Able to work in temperatures between -2°C and 4°C (dock) and temperatures between -20°C and -35°C with some wind chill when the fans are running.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate and execute daily tasks in accordance with established schedules and deadlines.
  • Always adhere to cold storage safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of frozen goods and compliance with Klondike policies.
  • Assist in inventory management tasks, including counting, labeling, and organizing goods as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
