Cold Digital is an ambitious, fast-growing digital agency based in Essex, working with leading brands across the UK. We specialise in high-end websites, branding, and marketing strategies that cut through the noise.
We are looking for a sharp, data-driven SEO and digital marketing specialist who also knows their way around building websites. Someone who can own a client's organic and paid strategy from end to end, but isn't afraid to jump into Webflow or WordPress when the team needs hands on deck. Big-picture thinking meets get-it-done energy.
This is a rare hybrid role for someone with strong SEO and PPC knowledge who also has practical web development experience. You will be joining our SEO and paid media projects across a growing roster of clients, running audits, building strategies, producing content, managing campaigns, and reporting on results.
You will have a team around you for design, development, and content support, and you will be the one driving the SEO and PPC workstreams, alongside a small team of specialists and well thought out workflows. Owning the client relationship for those services, and making sure nothing slips. When things are quieter on the marketing side, you will be expected to support the team on web development projects, building and maintaining sites in Webflow, making front-end tweaks, and helping deliver client builds.
We are not expecting perfection, but we do expect passion, attention to detail, and pride in what you put out.
What You Will Be Doing
- Running SEO audits, technical fixes, and on-page optimisation across client sites.
- Building and executing keyword strategies, content plans, and link building campaigns.
- Managing Google Ads and PPC campaigns from setup to optimisation and reporting.
- Producing and scheduling CMS content.
- Setting up and maintaining Google Search Console, GA4, and Google Business Profiles.
- Implementing schema markup and structured data across client sites.
- Delivering monthly SEO and PPC reports to clients with clear, actionable insights.
- Monitoring rankings, traffic, Core Web Vitals, and technical health on an ongoing basis.
- Building and maintaining responsive websites in Webflow (and occasionally WordPress and other platforms).
- Supporting the team on front-end development, UI tweaks, and campaign landing pages.
- Taking part in client calls, strategy meetings, and team planning sessions.
Must-Haves
- Hands-on experience running SEO campaigns (audits, keyword research, on-page, technical, link building).
- Experience with Google Ads or paid social campaigns.
- Confident with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Google Business Profile.
- Practical web development experience, building or editing live sites, not just theory.
- Familiarity with Webflow (or a strong willingness to learn it fast).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of client projects.
- Confident communication, especially when facing clients.
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn fast.
- Able to travel into the office in Basildon most days.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with schema markup and structured data implementation.
- Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or basic design tools.
- Experience with Zapier, Make, or marketing automation tools.
- Knowledge of Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with conversion rate optimisation or A/B testing.
- Basic understanding of animation (GSAP or Webflow interactions).
What You Will Get
- 38 days paid leave (including bank holidays).
- 2 weeks off over Christmas and New Year.
- Monthly team meals and socials.
- A seat at the table, your voice will shape projects.
- A role where you learn fast and grow fast.
- A creative, relaxed, high-performing culture.
- Career progression opportunities and support for professional certifications.
- High-spec equipment and tools provided.
- On-site parking.
