We are seeking a
Lecturer
to join our team. In this role you will deliver engaging and innovative skills training to a diverse range of adult learners, including unemployed adults looking to improve their existing skills and employed or self-employed adults seeking to gain new skills or upskill.
You will design and deliver a range of short programmes, including SWAPs, employability and upskilling programmes, as well as formal qualifications, bespoke courses and workshops.
Delivery will take place across a variety of settings, including college campuses, Job Centres and community organisations. A key part of the role will be to build learners' confidence, provide support and encouragement, and help them progress into employment, develop their careers or achieve their upskilling goals.
You will work flexibly with colleagues, employers and partner organisations to respond to local skills needs and provide positive learning and progression opportunities for adults.

About the role:
To plan and conduct teaching and learning activities appropriate to the needs of individual students, keeping attendance records and maintaining a positive learning environment. To prepare / tailor teaching and learning materials that meets student needs. To track and monitor learner progress throughout sessions and provide effective feedback to enable learners to make good levels of improvement and progress. To create a highly enjoyable learning experience for adult students that both encourages and enthuses them to learn more and clearly demonstrates the personal benefits of their new knowledge. To contribute to the work of subject, programme and project delivery teams as appropriate. To, at all times, maintain high expectations of learner's work, commitment, and conduct, taking action to ensure the highest of standards are met for all students. To evaluate continuously and improve the quality of learning and teaching within your sessions utilising and engaging with the college's staff development, observation programmes and performance reviews. Essential Experience:
Evidence of well-planned and effective delivery of differentiated learning Teaching or training experience with high levels of success Essential Qualifications:
Education to level 3 or above in Adult Community Learning or equivalent. Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent. Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards one. Why join us?
