• Create engaging, high-impact learning materials that spark curiosity and support student success across all levels.
• Deliver personalised, interactive teaching sessions tailored to individual student needs, course requirements, and curriculum goals—while keeping accurate attendance records and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Design and assess meaningful coursework and assessments, providing timely, constructive feedback to help students grow and excel.
• Support students both academically and personally, offering guidance and referrals to specialist services when needed, and contributing to progress reviews and reports.
• Set the bar high! Consistently uphold and encourage the highest standards in student work, behaviour, and commitment—taking action where needed to keep expectations on track.
• Be a team player—collaborate with subject teams, participate in committees and boards, and help shape the wider academic community.

• Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent.
• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.
• Relevant Teacher training / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.

• Hands-on industry experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, as a Mechanic or Vehicle technician, bringing real-world expertise to the workshop and classroom.
• Proven experience working with young people, with the ability to inspire, engage, and support their development both academically and personally.

All applications will be assessed against the stated essential requirements, so please ensure your CV clearly demonstrates how you meet them. While holding a full teaching qualification is not a requirement for this role, it will be expected that you complete a teaching qualification in post, for which you will be fully supported financially, with dedicated mentoring by the College.
