We are seeking a Apprenticeship Industry Development Coach - Operational Firefighter Level 3 to join our team. In this role you will support the progress and development of apprentices within the workplace, providing coaching and guidance throughout their apprenticeship. You will work closely with CFRS and the Colchester Institute OFF Lead to monitor progress, ensure all apprenticeship requirements are met, and support apprentices to successfully complete their programme on time. Job title: Apprenticeship Industry Development Coach - Operational Firefighter Level 3 10 Hours Per week, 52 weeks per year Part Time, Hourly Paid Location: Cambridgeshire (field-based) - regular travel across the Cambridgeshire area is required. This role is not based at a Colchester Institute campus. About the role: Liaise with the employer, apprentice and college staff to ensure apprentices fully understand the learning requirements of their apprenticeship in regard to knowledge, skills and behaviours, functional skills and end point assessment To carry out apprenticeship sign ups, completing administration tasks and providing IAG to watch managers and new apprentices Liaise with Colchester Institute delivery teams to ensure high levels of professionalism and quality assurance are developed and maintained throughout the whole apprenticeship journey Carry out 10-week review of progress with apprentices and employers to monitor progress against key milestones and the off the job training as outlined in the apprenticeship training plan During all aspects of apprenticeship meetings with both the apprentice and the CFRS personnel, seek opportunities to raise awareness of safeguarding, prevent, equality & diversity, health & safety, and British values Support the apprentices as they prepare for gateway to completion and end point assessment ensuring clear lines of communication between all key delivery staff involved in the apprenticeship and CFRS Ensure apprentice information is kept up to date in the relevant folders including Learning Hub, Smart Assessor and any other virtual learning environments required of the apprenticeship standard Essential Experience: Experience of a customer service role providing with evidence of outstanding customer service and quality assurance Demonstrate evidence of effectively liaising with key stakeholders internal and external to the organisation Actively working as a Firefighter within Cambridge Fire & Rescue Service Essential Qualifications: Technical qualification at level 3 or above Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent Why join us?
