We are seeking a Digital Innovation and IT lecturer to join our team. In this role you will design and deliver innovative programmes across Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation and Automation, supporting apprentices, employers and adult learners to develop the skills they need for the future. You will play a key role in developing apprenticeship provision, employer short courses and bespoke commercial programmes that respond to industry needs and employer demand.

About the role:

  • Curriculum Development: Design, develop and continuously improve innovative learning programmes in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation and digital innovation. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, learning resources and assessment materials for apprenticeships, short courses and commercial programmes. Create engaging face-to-face, online and blended learning resources that meet employer and learner needs. Ensure curriculum content remains current and relevant to emerging technologies, industry trends and employer requirements.
  • Teaching, Learning & Assessment: Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across apprenticeship, commercial and adult learning provision. Coach and support apprentices to achieve timely success, including preparation for Gateway and End-Point Assessment. Monitor learner progress, providing effective feedback, support and interventions where required. Maintain accurate learner records in line with College, awarding organisation and funding requirements.
  • Employer Engagement & Business Development: Build strong relationships with employers to understand their workforce development and digital skills needs. Design and deliver tailored AI and digital skills programmes that respond to employer requirements. Work with Business Development colleagues to promote and develop the College's AI and Digital Innovation offer. Contribute to the growth of apprenticeship and commercial income through innovative and responsive curriculum solutions.
  • Digital Innovation & Resource Development: Develop engaging digital learning resources, e-learning materials and employer toolkits. Deliver workshops and training in areas such as AI, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, business process improvement and digital transformation. Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities to embed innovation within curriculum design and delivery. Promote the safe, ethical and effective use of Artificial Intelligence across learning and employer provision.
  • Quality, Compliance & Professional Practice: Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Contribute to self-assessment, quality improvement activities and inspection readiness. Ensure compliance with College policies, awarding organisation requirements and funding regulations. Maintain and develop professional expertise in AI, digital technologies and relevant industry practice through continuing professional development. Adhere to and promote the College's Safeguarding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, College Values and Health & Safety policies and practices.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrate evidence of effectively liaising with key stakeholders internal and external to the organisation.
  • Experience of a customer service role, with evidence of outstanding customer service and quality assurance.
  • Actively working in IT/ Digitech industry.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.
  • Technical qualification at level 3 or above.
