Join Colchester Institute – Where Your Career Makes a Difference

In this varied and fast‑paced position, you will take the lead on delivering impactful presentations, workshops and events across local schools and colleges, as well as supporting major internal events such as Open Events, Familiarisation Days and Graduation. You’ll be a key representative of the College, helping to elevate our visibility, strengthen our partnerships and contribute to our strategic growth. You’ll also play a central role in content creation – capturing photos and videos, managing social media activity (with a focus on LinkedIn) and delivering targeted email campaigns that help drive engagement. With a creative eye and excellent organisational skills, you’ll help shape our events and outreach presence across multiple channels.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging presentations and workshops to schools and colleges
  • Build lasting relationships with key education partners
  • Lead and support internal and external events, including Graduation
  • Organise and represent the College at regional and local exhibitions (some evening/weekend work required)
  • Capture photos and video content for live event coverage
  • Create and schedule social media content to promote events and outreach activity
  • Design and distribute email marketing campaigns, using automation and AI tools to enhance performance
  • Analyse data to identify growth opportunities and improve engagement
  • Support general marketing tasks including photography, video creation, proofreading and design
  • Assist with research into competitor institutions and sector trends
  • Promote Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding in all aspects of the role
  • Work collaboratively as an integral member of the Marketing Team
