We are seeking a dedicated Admissions and Curriculum Support Team Leader to join the team. You will be providing operational line management to the team and ensuring a high quality service to everyone at Colchester Institute. You will also have responsibility for the admissions and funding assessment process for applicants from outside the UK.
About the roleTo have responsibility for the continuous review and improvement of all aspects of the FE admissions service, including full time study programmes, part time funded and full cost programmes.
- Ensure a smooth and high-quality admissions service which is customer led, with clear communications to applicants, parents and other stakeholders including schools, employers and curriculum areas.
- To lead and manage a team of admissions and curriculum support officers to ensure the full student journey is supported from application through to course completion, providing a high quality and responsive service to curriculum staff and to support them in the implementation of on-course policies and procedures including the student disciplinary, attendance and Educational Visits policies.
- To manage and oversee the front of house reception, enquiry line and switchboard services to the College, ensuring a high quality professional and welcoming service to all visitors, customers and potential customers, with the provision of accurate and accessible information and assistance.
- Have responsibility for staff switchboard training and ensuring switchboard workflows are updated in line with operational requirements.
- To provide a first-class service to International and overseas applicants, so they are able to access accurate and good quality information about funding assessments, equivalence of qualification and immigration rules and regulations in accordance with the points-based immigration system.
- Excellent administrative, IT and organisational skills.
- Proven experience of managing a team to provide customer focused support, and dealing with enquiries from a wide range of customers, both internal and external.
- Experience of working in a busy team environment, managing the workloads of others and under various conflicting priorities.
Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent.
