We are seeking a Progress and DestinationTutor to join our team. In this role you will work closely with curriculum and teaching staff across the campus to provide appropriate support to students, helping them successfully progress towards their chosen destination, whether that be further study, an apprenticeship or employment. You will deliver a weekly programme of personal development sessions covering a range of centrally agreed themes, facilitating discussions, managing activities and adapting resources to meet the needs of different tutor groups and technical subject areas. You will also manage a caseload of individual students, monitoring their progress, behaviours and attitudes, while providing targeted support to learners identified as 'at risk' to help them overcome barriers, reach their full potential and achieve their chosen destination.

About the role:
Essential Experience:
- Experience of working face to face with different age and client groups, but particularly with 16-19 year olds.
- Experience of supporting, motivating and mentoring individuals against goals.
- Experience of handling difficult situations, including confrontation, in a calm and effective way.
- Proven experience of working in a busy environment, managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proven record of willingness to take initiative, adapt and being proactive.
- Proven record of working positively and collaboratively across internal teams, management, key stakeholders and colleagues developing and maintaining positive working relationships. Working together towards the same end goal.
- Experience of working with various forms of communication including email, texting and telephone.
- Direct experience of inputting data into databases, accurately and with good use of English.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education to level 3 (or equivalent) or above and/or a professional qualification in professional construction, engineering or manufacturing
