In this role, you will carry out sessions on a one to one and group basis for internal and external adult customers regarding information, advice and guidance. You will need to be able to work in a fast paced, evolving and targeted environment.
About the role:- Deliver Information, Advice & Guidance on a one to one & group basis at various locations, mainly in Northeast Essex but on occasions further afield.
- Deliver workshops to targeted groups, and ensure progression of successful learners to employment, apprenticeships or further study. This may include facilitating online learning sessions.
- Build effective and positive relationships with customers, working collaboratively with them to identify the support required to enable them to remain in sustainable employment.
- Providing job search support and guiding customers to register on appropriate jobs boards and ensure their digital profiles are up to date and visible to employers.
- Actively monitor the progression and destinations of clients (particularly progression to employment) and adapt working practices in order to both maximise conversion rates and meet targets.
- Take responsibility for performance against meeting financial and client number targets, taking action to ensure such targets are met / exceeded.
- Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel to an intermediate level.
- Significant experience of delivering Information, Advice & Guidance to adults (unemployed, career changes, returners).
- Experience of successfully running workshops on employability.
- Experience of managing and motivating unemployed candidates.
- Comfortable with both 1:1 guidance and group delivery.
- Experience delivering impartial careers guidance to adults.
- Confident using LMI and local training/employer knowledge.
- Confident with caseload management and documentation.
- Minimum of a Level 4 Information, Advice & Guidance Qualification.
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.
