Job Title: Hourly Paid Teacher in Computing

Colchester Institute is looking for dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our outstanding team as an Hourly Paid Teacher in Computing.

About the Role:

  • Delivering inspirational lessons across Computing and IT subjects (Level 2–3)
  • Designing creative and effective learning plans that bring the subject to life
  • Creating and assessing high-quality resources and coursework
  • Supporting learners through individual guidance and feedback

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computing or an IT related subject.
  • At least level 2 qualification in English & maths
  • Teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve in post

Essential Experience:

  • Significant industry status – or evidence of industrial updating.
  • Experience of managing and motivating young learners
  • Recent teaching experience within further and/or higher education, especially BTEC
