At Colchester Institute, we’re looking for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Trainer/Assessor to support our Health & Social Care Apprenticeship programmes on an hourly-paid basis.
Job Title: Hourly Paid Level 3 Adult Care Assessor/Trainer
About the Role:
- Conducting workplace assessments in line with City & Guilds awarding body standards
- Delivering engaging one-to-one and group training sessions
- Providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help learners succeed
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of learner progress
- Building strong relationships with employers to support apprentice success
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)or equivalent.
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
- Level 3 Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one within 2 years in post
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience of assessing learners in a health and social care setting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks within adult care.
- An understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion practices
