Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age
Training course: Engineering manufacturing technician (level 4)
Hours: Monday - Friday in line with the working hours of the department in which the apprentice is placed. 40 hours a week
Duration: 3 years 6 months
What you'll do at work:
- Support Design to Manufacture: Assist in bringing design programmes into manufacture, ensuring products are launched on time, cost-effective, and of the right quality.
- Occupational behaviour: develop a mindset of health and safety first, adhering to a disciplined and responsible approach to manage, mitigate and avoid risk.
- Develop Core Engineering Skills: Gain hands-on experience with various manufacturing techniques, including CAD modelling, CNC machining, and assembly.
- Collaborate with Engineers: Work closely with other engineers and managers to manage projects and improve processes.
- Gain Practical Experience: Participate in on-the-job training and learning opportunities to develop technical analysis, process improvements, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications include:
- Level 4 HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing
- College attendance will be at the Colchester Institute - Colchester Campus one day per week during term time.

- GCSE in: 5 GCSE's including Maths, English and a Science (grade A*-C/9-4)
- GCSE in: maths and English (grade A*-B/9-5)
- Technology or Engineering Subject (grade A*-B/9-5)
