Overview
Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre (ESEOC), situated in the Dame Clare Marx Building opened at the end of 2024. This cutting-edge facility specializes in elective Orthopaedic surgery and Orthopaedic day cases. With eight laminar flow theatres, three wards, recovery facilities, and comprehensive support services, ESEOC is poised to become one of the largest centres of its kind in Europe. The Centre is committed to delivering high-volume, low-complexity cases locally, fostering excellence, and contributing to education, training, and research in the field.
Role
We are looking for a physiotherapist to join the new service and work as part of our Orthopaedic physiotherapy team. We provide a 7 day service, with extended hours 8:00 – 20:00 6 days a week. Applicants must be able to commit to a varied shift pattern of either a mixture of early and late shifts or predominately long days.
Responsibilities
- To gain experience and develop skills and knowledge in Orthopaedic physiotherapy within the acute setting
- Understanding an contributing to the orthopaedic physiotherapy pathways.
- To manage own caseload of patients, seeking advice and problem solving from senior staff when required.
- To link in with the MDT in ESEOC to contribute to the care of elective patients
